The concrete garden

I am not sure what the purpose of this area was in the warehouse, but it reminded me of a little garden, albeit a rather dim one, requiring a long exposure.

News: The Photoblog Awards are underway.

The group show that I'm in, 'Plastic Makes Perfect', runs through 14 October. This toy camera show is part of Atlanta Celebrates Photography. I have 6 pieces in the show. If you are in Atlanta, I hope you can make it by. Here is a copy of a flyer for the show. The photo in the flyer is one of my photos in the show.

My solo show, 'Things Left Behind: an urban exploration', is now running. I have 13 photos on exhibit. For more details, read here.

Song of the day: 'Opposite Day' by Andrew Bird

Poem of the day:
'this is the garden:colours come and go,
frail azures fluttering from night's outer wing
strong silent greens serenely lingering,
absolute lights like baths of golden snow.
This is the garden:pursed lips do blow
upon cool flutes within wide glooms, and sing
(of harps celestial to the quivering string)
invisible faces hauntingly and slow.

This is the garden. Time shall surely reap
and on Death's blade lie many a flower curled,
in other lands where other songs be sung;
yet stand They here enraptured,as among
The slow deep trees perpetual of sleep
some silver-fingered fountain steals the world.'
- e.e. cummings, 'this is the garden: colours come and go,...'
