And so it begins. Although we arrived in Belize City, we only spent the night there and then hopped the chicken bus to Guatemala. We were heading to Flores, which is on an island in Lake Petén Itzá. One of the days there, we took a boat across the lake to the small village of San José. Some of our group went swimming in the lake (I took pictures instead). From left, this is Jason, Michelle, Tom and Peter jumping off the pier.

I am going to post photos from Guatemala first and then start on Belize.
